With all the WWE news buzzing today, it’s easy to forget that the Premium Live Event is coming up. We received a solid reminder of Money in the Bank, as the promotion has just announced a big match for the upcoming show – Undisputed Tag Team Champions Suck will put all four titles on the line against Profits on the street.
On the June 6 episode of RAW, The Street Profits – Angelo Dawkins and Montex Ford – defeated the champions in a match of champions. The victory brought the duo a chance for the title – a shot they will make on July 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Usos won the WWE SmackDown title last year at MITB
This year Money in the bank the event will be a bit of a milestone for the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. At last year’s show held at the Dickies Arena in Ft. Worth, Texas, The Usos defeated Dominic and Ray Mysterio to claim the SmackDown Tag Team Championship – and the twin brothers have held the titles ever since.
Of course, The Usos will then continue to beat RK-Bro – Riddle and Randy Orton – back in May at RAW to add the RAW Tag Team Championship to their collection. A month earlier, their Bloodline faction leader, Roman Raines, would become the undisputed WWE Universal Champion, defeating Brock Lesnar to claim both the WWE and Universal Championships.
In an interesting twist of fate, Reigns turns out to be defending these titles at SmackDown tonight against one of the men his cousins won for their own titles, Riddle.
Do you think The Street Profits can get their gold back into Money In The Bank? Or will The Usos continue to reign with its record-breaking title? Share your thoughts in the comments.
