Why distance matters
How far you sit from your monitor matters because sitting too close or too far can cause eye strain. The farther you are, the less everything will be on your screen. If you can’t see the content clearly, you’ll strain your eyes to read the smaller text
On the other hand, if you sit too close, everything will increase, which makes it difficult to accept everything. This will also overload your eyes because you will move your eyes back and forth very often, which can be exhausting and lead to fatigue.

When using multiple monitors, you will still want to keep this distance of 20-30 inches from your eyes – for all of them. Ideally, your monitors should be at the same level so that you do not constantly move your eyes up and down while looking from one screen to another.
