The Golden State Warriors won their fourth championship in eight years on Thursday after an aging core, but speculators believe Stephen Curry, Clay Thompson and Draymond Green have at least one more title chase.
The Warriors are preferred to win the championship in 2023 by odds published immediately after the end of the 2021-22 season with Golden State win 103-90 over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
FanDuel has Golden State on the list of +460, ahead of the Celtics (+650), Brooklyn Nets (+700), Milwaukee Bucks (+750), Los Angeles Clippers (+850) and Phoenix Suns (+950).
The Warriors have a +500 odds in the Caesars Sportsbook, which the Nets and Celtics have at +600. Followed by Bucks (+750), Suns (+800) and Clippers (+800).
DraftKings has a higher level approach, with Warriors, Celtics, Nets and Clippers listed at +600. Followed by Bucks (+750) and Suns (+900).
FOX Bet has Warriors at +550, Nets and Celtics each at +600, Clippers at +700, Bucks at +750 and Suns at +850.
After the highest level of teams, the teams with the next lowest odds in most of the bookmakers are the Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks.
The teams with the longest odds – some of +100,000 or more – are the Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets. DraftKings and FOX Bet have Magic and Rockets at +200,000.
In the odds for the most valuable player in the regular season of the NBA next year, the center of the Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokic – the two-time current winner – is not the favorite.
DraftKings has Jokic at +800, behind 76ers great Joel Embiid and the Mavericks have Luka Doncic, both at +550. Bucks striker Janis Adetokunmpo is +850, followed by Grizzlies Ja guard Morant (+1000), Nets striker Kevin Durant (+1200), Celtics striker Jason Tatum (+1200) and Curry (+1700). .
FanDuel has Doncic as the favorite for the MVP for 2022-23 at +500, with Embid (+550), Adetokunmpo (+700), Durant (+100), Jokic (+1200), Curry (+1300), Tatum (+1500) ) and Morant (+1600) after him.
