Such a tragedy…
Actors Raimundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco Gonzalez Aguilar from Netflix series The Chosen One died in a horrific car accident. According to numerous reports, the two men were with a group of passengers on their way to the local airport when their van crashed and overturned on a desert road near Mulege on the Baja California Sur peninsula on Thursday. Six other people, believed to be several other members of the crew or cast, were injured in the incident and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. They are currently in stable condition, Deadline reports.
The Bahá’í state of California said in a statement Facebook Friday:
“The state government deeply regrets the deaths of Raimundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco Gonzalez Aguilar, Paco Mufote. Our condolences to their family, friends and the Bahá’í Arts community. May they rest in peace. ”
for Deadlinethe band was in the area near Santa Rosalia to film the series. The Chosen One adapts from Mark Millar and Pete Gross‘ American Jesus a series of comics formerly called Selected. The show focuses on a 12-year-old boy who learns that it is the second coming of Christ and is destined to save humanity. After the incident, Deadline reports that proceedings have been suspended by Redrumthe company responsible for the filming.
