More than two weeks have passed since then Johnny Depp won his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard.
But in the social media landscape, the verdict is still hotly debated.
Of course, despite millions of hot looks at the issue, the opinion of seven Virginia jurors has decided which party will win.
And now a juror is sharing his thoughts on the controversial verdict, and what he says are the mistakes that led to Hurd’s defeat.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the juror explained to Good morning America that he and his peers believe that Hurd is lying and using “crocodile tears” to try to attract their sympathy.
“He seemed to be able to switch the key to his emotions,” he said.
“She was answering a question and she was going to cry, and two seconds later she was going to get cold. It didn’t look natural. “

In contrast, Depp said, Depp “just seemed a little more realistic about the way he answered questions.”
The juror added that Hurd made many mistakes during her stay at the booth, such as looking directly at the jury when answering questions.
“We were all very uncomfortable,” the juror said of this particular blunder.

He also pointed to inconsistencies in Hurd’s story, such as when her lawyers said the actress “never goes out without makeup”
“After all, she’s going to file a restraining order without makeup. And it just so happens that her PR is with her. These things are accumulating and it’s becoming hard to believe. “
From there, the juror responded to allegations that Depp’s team had given bribes to ensure a favorable outcome.

“Some people said we were bribed. That is not true, “he said.
He also rejected allegations that the jury should have been isolated to prevent their influence from covering the process.
“Social media has not affected us. We followed the evidence. We did not take into account anything from the outside [the courtroom]. We only looked at the evidence, “he told GMA.

“They were very serious accusations and a lot of money. So we didn’t take it lightly. “
Eventually, the juror opposed the rumors that he and his colleagues had been “defeated” by Depp.
“None of us were real fans of any of them,” he explained.

Depp received $ 10.35 million in damages.
This amount was slightly offset by a $ 2 million compensation claim awarded to Hurd.
Of course, this leaves the actress with a huge debt of 8.35 million dollars to her ex, an amount that her lawyer says she can not pay.

Hurd is expected to appeal the verdict in the very near future.
This means that this whole issue may soon be retried.
But if Depp and Hurd go back to court, you can expect the second trial to look very different from the first.

For starters, the Hurd team will probably insist that cameras not be allowed in the courtroom.
Her legal team may also request that the jury be isolated to protect them from outside influence.
Hurd may even ask for a trial, which means the matter will be decided by a judge, not a jury.

All these precautions may affect the test result.
But they will almost certainly not prevent a new media circus.
