Neymar, others unharmed after an emergency landing in Brazil

Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar may or may not be provided for transfer after the end of June, but the 30-year-old was in the headlines on the first day of the summer months for a very different reason.

According to Adriana Garcia ESPN, a private jet carrying Neymar and others, was forced to make an emergency landing in the Brazilian city of Boa Vista after the Cessna 680 Citation had technical problems. Neymar left Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday afternoon, and his plane made several stops before heading to Brazil. No one on board the plane was injured during the emergency landing.

“Due to a small problem in the windshield wiper of the NR Sports plane, in which the athlete Neymar Jr., his sister Rafaela Santos and (girlfriend) Bruno Biancardi were traveling, the pilot decided as a precaution to make an early landing this Tuesday (21) in Boa Vista, in Roraima, so that the problem can be solved, “Neymar’s agency said in a statement shared by ESPN. “We would like to say that all passengers are fine and are waiting to continue their journey.”

According to Garcia, Neymar also addressed the issue through a video he shared on his Instagram Story.

“I stop here to thank everyone for your messages and to say that everything is fine, we are coming home, it was just fear, everyone is fine here and we are together,” he said.

Neymar is currently enjoying his off-season break, but has been linked with rumors of a transfer to Chelsea from the Premier League. For material published on May 27, ESPN’s Julien Lawrence announced that Neymar wants to stay at PSG for at least one more campaign, although “Chelsea has a long-standing interest” to get his signature.
