Moderna expands its footprint in the UK to build a research and development vaccine center

Covid jabs company Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) opened the first mRNA vaccine plant of its kind in the United Kingdom, announced the government.

This move will guarantee and support British patients quick access to new vaccines and treatment.

The new mRNA Innovation and Technology Center will develop vaccines for a wide range of respiratory diseases, including Covid vaccines, which can protect against multiple variants.

Meanwhile, a large-scale mRNA vaccine center will produce new and up-to-date drugs while creating new jobs, officials said.

Construction is expected to begin this year, with the first mRNA vaccine to be produced in the UK in 2025.

The first strikes can be given on Tuesday, New York Times reported.
