British singer Kate Bush“One music almost became part of the MCU.

Christian Bale who plays Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and thunder told Total Film that director Taika Whitey had planned a dance scene inspired by Bush’s music, but this was rejected.

“Taika and I wanted to do a whole dance that we couldn’t do, but we had all this Kate Bush stuff we were working on,” Bale said. He continues: “I think he just realized that he will never be allowed to put that in the final film. I would say that this is the most common thing I stared at [while preparing for the role] was the Aphex Twin video of “Come to Daddy.” But I don’t even know if that will be in the final film.

Her song “Running Up That Hill” from her album “Hounds of Love” was revived after it was released in the fourth season of Netflix. Strange thingsand topped the British charts.

In his personal blog, Bush thanked the participants in the show Stranger Things Matt and Ross Duffer for using the song and giving it new life among Gen Z.

“I congratulate the Duffer brothers on their courage – they are moving this new series to a much older and darker place. I want to thank them a lot for bringing the song into the lives of so many people, “said the singer. By presenting Running Up That Hill in such a positive light – as a mascot for Max (one of the main female characters played by actress Sadie Sink) – the song is performed in the emotional arena of her story. Fear, conflict and the power of love are all around her and her friends. ”
