The gala concert was called DesignCare and took place in Los Angeles for the benefit of the HollyRod Foundation, according to people. HollyRod Foundation is a charity dedicated to those diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease or autism.

In 2019, Laughlin and her husband, a fashion designer Mosimo Januliwere charged with conspiracy after allegedly paying a whopping $ 500,000 in bribes to have their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella admitted to the University of Southern California. Laughlin and her husband eventually took a plea deal for the occasion. In the end, Lori was sent from 2 to a month in prison with 150,000 fines and 100 hours of community service, while Januli was sentenced to 5 months in prison, 250,000 fines and 250 hours of community service.
