The former India pacer Zahir Khan has stated that Rishabh pants he relies too much on his instincts when it comes to captaincy. Zaheer found similarities between Vata and the young man’s leadership, pointing out that he always has two extremes.

After being fired for an awkward 17 out of 23, there was some break for Pant as India won the fourth T20I against South Africa with 82 runs to level a series of five games 2-2. Critics were quite impressed with the booster goalkeeper’s captain’s position, as the Indian bowlers cleared Proteas for 87, defending a total of 169.

Speaking after the match, Zaheer also praised Pant. However, he had advice for a captain for the young man. During a discussion on Cricbuzzthe former cricketer said:

“When he celebrates running, people talk about him. When he doesn’t, people keep talking about him. There is a similar style of model in his captaincy. We have to give him time. He likes to think outside the box. He tries too hard to follow his instincts. He likes to take a lot of risks. He must find this balance when making extreme decisions. It’s just like his blow. “

However, Zaheer praised the young man’s attitude towards the game and said that the 24-year-old will certainly become better as an experienced cricketer. The 43-year-old said:

“One thing that stands out about him is that he is very serious about his cricket. What no one can question. He is very passionate about the game. He wants to do things fast. “In time, he will get what he wants because he knows where he is going.”

In four matches of the T20I series so far, the Indian captain has registered results of 29, 5, 6 and 17.

“They would like to finish strong” – Zahir Khan supports Pant and Co. to keep the same XI

Looking ahead to the decisive match in Bengaluru, Zaheer said that the Indian team has no reason to make changes in XI. He said:

“That was the hallmark of the show. They did not go the other way, knowing that this was the XI they believed in. After losing the first two games, it became even more important to stick to them and understand the process.

However, he warned India not to be complacent and called on them to play the last match with the same intensity. Zaheer added:

“Look at the balance, all the options are there. Four seamstresses, two quality spinners – this covers most bases. Now they would like to finish strong, to create this belief that they can come back from any situation.”

The last T20I of the series between India and South Africa will be played at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday (June 19th).
