To apply citation formatting For a specific piece of text in your text paragraph, use the Discord Backtick option.
Start by launching Discord on your device and finding the text you want to quote.
Place your cursor at the beginning of the text to quote.
Press the backspace key on your keyboard so that a check mark (`) is added before the text. This key has a tilde character (~) and is just above the keyboard key.
If you’re on a mobile phone, open the symbol menu on your keyboard and tap the check mark.
AFTER ADDING A SIGNATURE SIGNATURE AS YOUR TEXT INCREASES, PLACE YOUR CURSOR AT THE END OF YOUR TEXT AND ADD A SUMMARY SIGN.
You will immediately notice that Discord has formatted the text with your quotes backlinks.
You cannot send your message as usual and the recipient will see the formatting of the quote. Enjoy!

To quote a whole line Or a few lines of text, use “>” (a sign for a larger amount) on your keyboard. This will put it in quote block format.
Open Discord and open the message in which you want to quote a single or multiple lines.
At the beginning of the line or lines you want to quote, enter the following character and press a space:
DISCORD WILL APPLY FORMATION OF QUOTES TO THE TEXT TO THE RIGHT OF THE ABOVE SYMBOL.
You can add more text to your citation block and it will use this formatting. When finished, send the message as usual.
