Apple AirPods are not limited to Apple products; you can use your AirPods with your Android phone too. However, there are a few limitations that we will outline in addition to showing you how to pair your AirPods with your Android device.
Yes, Apple AirPods work well with any Android phone or tablet, as they are still standard wireless Bluetooth headsets. You can even connect them to devices other than Android as long as the device supports Bodybuilding.
For example, you can’t check the battery levels of your AirPods from your Android phone (although there’s a paid app in the Play Store to help you do that). You also can’t change what AirPods double-tap from your phone. These features can only be customized by an Apple product.
To pair your AirPods with your Android phone, you’ll first need to put AirPods in discovery mode so your phone can detect them.
To do this, first place your AirPods in the charging case. Keep the lid of the box open. Then, on the back of the charging box, press and hold the set button.
The charging case indicator will flash white, indicating that your AirPods are ready to pair.
To connect your AirPods from your Android phone, launch Settings on your phone and go to Bluetooth & Device Connection> Bluetooth. The exact route may vary depending on your phone model.
Wait for your phone to detect and list your AirPods in Available Devices. Then select your AirPods from the list.
Tap “Pair” in the prompt to connect your phone to your AirPods.
Your phone is now connected to your AirPods and you’re done.
With AirPods connected to your Android phone, you can now play music, make phone calls, voice recording, and does almost anything that requires speakers or a microphone. Once again, keep in mind that if you want to change certain features of your AirPods, you will need an Apple device.
