Max Verstappen took the field for the Canadian Grand Prix after his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez crashed from an exciting wet qualifying session in Montreal.

Fernando Alonso showed a stunning performance to grab second for Alpine while Carlos Sainz was third and his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc started the race from the back of the grid after a penalty for a new engine.
