French President Emmanuel Macron will lose a parliamentary majority: predictions

PARIS: French President Emmanuel MacronThe country’s allies had to lose a majority in parliament after Sunday’s election, dealing a severe blow to the centrist leader and his second-term program, according to forecasts from five research firms.
Macron’s Coalition Ensemble (Together) was on track to win 200-260 seats, less than the 289 needed for a majority in the National Assembly.
The left wing NUPES the alliance had to win 149-200 seats, while the far right of Marin Le Pen National rally made big profits and was on a course for 60-102 places.
