Transcript from CNN State Of The Union:

BASH: Your hearing will include evidence of Trump voters in the states of the battlefield who sent fake ballots to the Electoral College, even though Trump lost those states we are talking about.

We have already heard that campaign officials, Trump campaign officials have been involved in this. Do you have evidence that the former president himself is involved?

SHIF: Yes, we will show evidence of the president’s involvement in this scheme. We will also again show evidence of what his own lawyers thought about this scheme. And we will show brave government officials who stood up and said they would not agree to this plan or call the legislature back in session or cancel the results for Joe Biden.

The system is stalled because many state and local election officials have reaffirmed their oath of office, many Republicans and Democrats.

BASH: Just to make it clear, you said that you have evidence that the then president was involved in running a fake voter table.

Do you have evidence that he led it?

SHIF: I don’t want to get ahead of our hearing. We will show during the hearing what the role of the president was in trying to get the states to name alternative constituencies, how this scheme initially depended on hopes that the legislature would reconvene and bless it.

BASH: Will we see that he directs it?

SHIF: They didn’t do it. And yet they moved on with him.

BASH: Will we see that he directs it?

SHIF: I don’t want to get ahead of what we’re going to show you during the hearing.

BASH: All right.

SHIF: But we’ll show you what we know about his role in that.

The Ministry of Justice is investigating the fraudulent voter scheme

The Ministry of Justice is investigating the fraudulent election scheme as a criminal conspiracy. TThe Department of Justice has interviewed fake voters in many statesand is currently focused on Trump’s campaign advocates like Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis.

Things could become criminal for Trump in the scheme of fake voters

At the federal level, the iron evidence that Trump directly committed a crime is elusive to investigators and prosecutors. The fake voter scheme may change that. The Ministry of Justice is making its way up the chain of command, and if it finds that the former president has committed crimes, this could be the path to criminal charges.

Trump’s involvement in the fraudulent voter scheme is a big deal because it provides an evidence link between Trump and criminal activity. The 1/6 committee provides the Justice Department with what it needs to accuse Trump of a crime.
