from: Witness

Amid the growing number of online trolls in Kenya, a mother is launching a cyber attack on kindness.

Harassment is no longer limited to school grounds and workplaces. Concerned about her children growing up in Kenya’s toxic cyberspace, daily banker Marjolin has decided to launch an online campaign for kindness.

It brings together Kenyan celebrities who have experienced unprecedented levels of cyberbullying. While traveling to schools, meeting funders and advising victims, Marjolin struggled with his life as an activist.

She founded the Cyberbullying Association with dreams of making the online world safer. Now she is determined to launch her Kuwa Mwema, Swahili for Be Kind campaign.

The deactivation of Kenya’s toxic trolls is a film by Moss Mvaniki.
