Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman dress up as Thor in Marvel Thor: Love and thunder and new magazine covers show the duo of Asgardian.
Thor: Love and thunder will see Natalie Portman return to tor a franchise like Jane Foster, taking Thor Mölnir’s old hammer for himself while taking on the power and title of Mighty Thor. Meanwhile, Thor Odinson of Chris Hemsworth returns with his new Stormbreaker ax next to him, getting back in shape as he searches for life beyond his superhero duties. However, it seems that his peace of mind will be short-lived, as he and Jane come into conflict with Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher.
In two new covers for the upcoming issue of Total movie magazine, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor can be seen side by side in their new costumes for the film. The standard cover shows Thor’s new blue and gold clothing and Jane’s restored Mölnir, while the exclusive subscriber coverage features Torso’s new helmets.
While Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster wears a masked helmet reminiscent of Mighty Thor’s comic book look, Chris Hemsworth’s new mask is more of a surprise. Revealed in the trailer for Love and thunder, Thor’s mask returns to the look he briefly took in the comics, along with blue and gold battle armor that may have been the inspiration for his costume in the new film. The new image offers a better look at the helmet design, which includes an eagle-head coat of arms. See the images below:
The standard cover also describes Thor: Love and thunder as a “detective-novel-thriller”, giving some indication of the tone of the film. The aspect of the romcom is hardly surprising, considering the subtitles of the film and the distinctive comedy styles of the director Taika Vaiti. It can be assumed that the detective element of the film comes from the hunt for Christian Bale’s Forest, while he kills the various gods of the universe.
Here is a synopsis for Thor: Love and thunder:
The film takes Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey different from anything he has encountered – the search for inner peace. Together, they embark on a torturous space adventure to unravel the mystery of the revenge of Lord Butcher and stop it before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Whitey and produced by Kevin Feigi and Brad Winderbaum, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Pom Clementieff, Sean Gunn and Sean Gunn.
