Almost six months have passed since then Bob Saget died unexpectedly in a hotel room in Orlando.
But for friends and family of your favorite comic, the loss is probably as painful as ever.
Of course, grief transforms and takes on different forms over time.
So while Sagett’s wife and daughters will obviously never forget him, they may soon reach a point where their memories of the TV icon will be a source of joy, not sorrow.
Sunday marked the first day of the Saggett’s father without Bob.
And the comic book’s middle daughter, Lara, was excited to share some personal insights on social media.
“My father was not just my father, he was my best friend,” she wrote on Instagram, along with a retrospective photo of herself and her father.
“He carried his heart. He did not hide it; he was not afraid of love. My father just wanted to share laughter and love with this world.
Lara revealed that she was inspired by her father’s approach to life and relationships.
“I noticed how scary it can be to love so much, to open up so completely. It can be easier to be angry, scared, negative, “she wrote.
“Maybe because love has infinite quality, it is boundless,” Lara continued.
“My father taught me that it doesn’t matter what life offers, how difficult, how painful, how seemingly impossible. This does not stop this love. He has always chosen love. ”
Lara added that she is committed to “doing the same” and encouraged her followers to remember the most important lesson she learned from her father:
“Love is right here.”
“And it is my responsibility to give it and share it, living in love,” Lara concluded.
“I love you endlessly, Dad. Happy Father’s Day. “
Last weekend, Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, attended the fourth annual Real TV Awards to accept an award on behalf of her late husband.
“He was one of the pioneers in the world of reality television.” Rizzo said people magazine in an interview on the red carpet.
“It’s just so special to be here to honor him, but it’s also so weird and surreal that he’s not here,” she added.
“This is the first red carpet I’ve made without it. It’s very strange. I have a feeling he’s waiting for me and he’ll say, “Honey, I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
“He is still not feeling well, but all we can do is be here to celebrate him and his legacy. That’s all I want to do. “
Apparently, Saget’s absence will continue to be a source of great pain for his loved ones.
But if they haven’t done so yet, we hope that soon they will reach a point where the mention of his name or the memory of their time together will cause more smiles than tears.
Our thoughts are on Bob’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
We hope that they can find solace in the fact that their grief is shared by so many.
