Basic interest on Chinese loan, oil and currency

SINGAPORE – Shares in the Asia-Pacific region were mixed in trading on Monday morning, as investors expect the release of the latest reference interest rate on loans in China.

IN Nikkei 225 in Japan it rose 0.58% at the beginning of trading, while the Topix index rose 0.45%. In South Korea, Kospi also advanced by 0.14%.

Currencies

IN US Dollar Indexwhich tracks green money relative to a basket of its counterparts, was at 104,695 after a recent rebound from levels below 104.

IN Japanese yen traded at 135.29 per dollar, lower than the levels below 132 observed against the greenback last week. IN Australian dollar changed hands to $ 0.6949 after falling more than $ 0.70 last weekend.
