A knee that deals with a finger injury has worked with Darren Helm of training to kill punishments during Saturday morning skating.

Avalanche ahead Nikola Obe-Kubel skates with scratches and will probably go out for Game 2. Both Gabriel Landeskog and Game 1 hero Andre Burakowski took days for support.

Nazem Kadri jumped on the ice with skills coach Sean Allard before the morning skate, but Bednar did not provide an update after saying he was “improving” on Friday.

This is the third consecutive day of skating for Kadri. The striker is still recovering from thumb surgery after being injured in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals when he was taken to the board by Edmonton Oilers striker Evander Kane.
