Analyst: “Obviously (Jason) Tatum is out of the Superstar Club”

Although leading 2-1 in the 2022 NBA Finals just over a week ago, Jason Tatum and Boston Celtics saw their championship hopes vanish on Thursday night when the Golden State Warriors celebrated at TD Garden for their fourth title in eight years. When the Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals, Tatum was named MVP of the series, but the 24-year-old sometimes clashed with Dubs.

After an average of 25.0 points and 8.3 rebounds with a 46.2% percentage of goals per game and 86.0% of free throws in seven games against Miami, the former Duke star the numbers dropped to 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 36.7% off the field and 65.6% against Golden State. On Friday morning, speaking chapters of the FS1 program “First things first” discussed whether Tatum should be considered a superstar.
