Amazon is sending Comic-Con to The Diesel series The Lord of the Rings in San Diego

After a one-year break and a special event over ThanksgivingComic-Con in San Diego seems to be back in full force this summer. It was unclear which studios would feature the congressional face, but Deadline has already learned that Amazon Prime Video on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will attend the horse in July.

Comic-Con is back!

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power there will indeed be a panel in Comic-Con Hall H in San Diego, although it is unclear on which day the panel will take place. The first look at the revolutionary series debuted during the Super Bowl in February, and it is safe to assume that more will be shown to those present at the congress. San Diego Comic-Con 2022 will be held from July 21 to July 24.

Here is the synopsis for the upcoming Amazon series:

This epic drama unfolds millennia before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J.W. RR Tolkien and will take viewers back to an age in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung in the finest threads, and most the great villain who once came out of Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover the whole world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows a set of characters, both familiar and new, as they encounter the long-feared re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elven capital of Lyndon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Numenor, to the farthest corners of the map, these kingdoms and heroes will carve legacies that will live long after.

Amazon Studios produces The rings of power in collaboration with Tolkien Estate and Trust, HarperCollins and New Line Cinema. JD Payne and Patrick McKay are showrunners and executive producers of the series.

The ensemble for the show consists of Robert Aramayo, Owen Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Morfid Clark, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Emma Horvath, Marcella Cavena, Joseph Mole, Tairo Muhafidin, Sofia Nomvet, Megan Charlie and DeLley Charlie, Deal Daniel Weiman.
