MANILA, Philippines – Ali Franci enjoyed an unforgettable match at Quezon City USA in the Volleyball League of Nations after receiving a warm welcome from Filipino fans.

After leading the U.S. team with four games in Week 2, Frantti was amazed by Filipino fans’ love of volleyball as they ended their campaign with 17-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-18 over Thailand on Sunday. in front of an ecstatic 4327 spectators at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“Incredible! The fans are so strong. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget and it is amazing how much you love volleyball. I really appreciate it, “said the American striker, who scored 27 points in the seventh US victory in eight games.

After a memorable experience in Quezon City, Franti and the Americans are preparing for Week 3 in Calgary, Canada, where they will face Belgium, Serbia, Turkey and Germany from June 28 to July 3.

“It will be a battle, it will be a torment every day. It will get harder and harder. We’ll just take it one day and focus on what’s next, “she said. “I like US volleyball this time, so we’ll do it.”

USA Volleyball is currently second with a 7-1 record behind undefeated leader Japan. The final round will take place in Ankara, Turkey, where the top 7 teams and the host team will face off from July 13th to 17th.
