CBS released a documentary titled “Arming Ukraine.”
The documentary examines what happened to the military weapons provided to Ukraine.
Flooding a country with advanced weapons can have serious consequences, even when done with the best of intentions. This CBS Reports documentary goes to Ukraine to see first-hand how military aid gets from the border to soldiers on the front lines and explores the difficulty of getting aid to the fighters who need it.
The documentary reveals that only “about 30%” of the weapons given to Ukraine reached their final destination.
“Over the past two months, we have moved weapons and equipment into Ukraine at record speed. Drones, grenade launchers, machine guns. We are seeing this incredible historic flow of arms coming into Ukraine. Do we have any idea where they’re going? we don’t know. In fact, there is no information about where they are going at all. All these things go through the border and then it seems like something happens, like, 30% maybe reach their final destination.”
