1/6 commission is nailed to Trump by allowing the election defeat

Commission 1/6 has testified that Donald Trump has admitted to losing the 2020 election to President Biden.

The New York Times reported:

In addition to the evidence, as the commission has already revealed, the panel has received other testimonies that undermine Mr. Trump’s claim that he believes he really won the election.

According to two people informed on the matter, Alice Fara Griffin, the White House’s director of communications in the days after the election, recently tested before the commission that Mr. In November 2020, Trump told her words like: Can you believe I lost to Mr. Biden?

If Trump knows he has lost, it means he acted with criminal intent to call off the election.

The context of Trump’s post-election actions would change if he conspired to cancel the election, knowing he had lost to Joe Biden. Trump’s actions are still criminal, whether he knew he lost or not, but his potential defense that his election was “stolen” will not exist if it can be proven that he lost.

If Trump always knew from the beginning that he had lost the election, apart from potential accusations of rebellion, Trump committed criminal fraud in fundraising after the election. Trump may have been involved in a conspiracy to defraud the United States, and if the 1/6 Committee succeeds in proving that Trump knew he had lost, the path to the former president’s criminal charge will become clearer.
